S'mores
Chewy gooey goodness.
This dessert brings out the playful kid in you.
It’s fun to make and quick to bake. In just 15 minutes, you’ll get a dessert filled with chewy gooey marshmallows, melted chocolate and pieces of crunchy butter biscuits. A kid-friendly recipe, it’s also achievable for drunk adults at midnight who forgot to serve dessert 😅.
I recently made this with my husband’s nephew in Belgium, we had a lot of fun cooking and eating. With only 3 ingredients, S’mores is an easy way to win the hearts of any dessert or chocolate lover -whatever age!
Ingredients
(Approx 200g each)
1 block of milk chocolate
1 bag of marshmallows
1 packet of butter biscuits
Method
PRE-HEAT the oven to 180 degrees on fan mode.
PLACE the biscuits to the bottom of the tray.
3. BREAK the chocolate block into pieces and sprinkle it all over the biscuits.
4. HALVE the marshmallows by hand and place on top of the chocolate.
5. BAKE for 15 minutes and serve immediately.
Special thanks to my little sous chef Kamiel! We were both on a massive sugar high after our S’mores treat.
Tips:
You can place the biscuits as a whole piece instead of breaking them up. This way you can serve ‘evenly’ proportions.
Graham crackers are recommended if you can find them.
Cooking chocolate is actually better as it melts quicker. But if you are a sucker for ‘real’ chocolate like me, you can stick to it.
The S’mores will harden after 30 mins outside the oven. You can reheat it up in the microwave or oven to soften it up before serving again.
Feel free to add more chocolate in the last 5 minutes of baking.
